Proclamation commencing certain provisions (Qld)

Queensland Subordinate Legislation 1999 No. 159 Industrial Relations Act 1999 [Act No. 33 of 1999] PROCLAMATION I, MAJOR GENERAL PETER ARNISON, Governor, fix 1 July 1999 as the day on which— (a) section 712(1) commences, to the extent it repeals the WorkplaceRelationsAct1997 , other than the following provisions of that Act— (i) sections 253 and 254; (ii) sections 270, 271, 272, 273(1)(a), 275 and 278; (iii) chapter 7, part 7; and (b) section 712(1) commences, to the extent it repeals the IndustrialOrganisations Act 1997 , other than part 16 of that Act; and (c) the remaining provisions of the Act, other than the following provisions, commence— (i) sections 243 to 245; (ii) sections 256 to 259 and 261; (iii) chapter 9; (iv) section 723(1).
