Catchment Management Act

1989—Proclamation

MARIE BASHIR, Governor I, Professor Marie Bashir AC, Governor of the State of New South Wales, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of section 21 (1) of the Catchment Management Act 1989, do, by this my Proclamation, amend Schedule 1 (Catchment Management Trusts) to that Act by adding in alphabetical order the name “Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Board”, whoseestablishment has been recommended by the Minister for Land and Water Conservation, to Part 1 of that Schedule.

Explanatory note
Section 20 (1) of the Catchment Management Act 1989 provides that a Trust listed in Schedule 1 to that Act is established as a Catchment Management Trust. Section 20 (2) provides that a Trust is a corporation with the corporate name specified in that Schedule.
The object of this proclamation is to add the Hawkesbury-Nepean Catchment Management Board to Part 1 of that Schedule. Part 1 contains the names of Catchment Management Trusts whose establishment has been recommended by the Minister administering the Catchment Management Act 1989 (at present, the Minister for Land and Water Conservation).
