I, the deputy of the Governor, acting under section 2 of the Acts Amendment and Repeal (Competition Policy) Act 2003 and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council—

(a) fix the day after the day on which this proclamation is published in the Government Gazette as the day on which that Act, other than Parts 6 and 9, comes into operation; and

(b) fix 1 May 2004 as the day on which Part 9 of that Act comes into operation.
