I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002.

  1. Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Proceeds of Crime Amendment Regulations 2010 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

These Regulations commence on the day after they are registered.

  1. Amendment of Proceeds of Crime Regulations 2002

Schedule 1 amends the Proceeds of Crime Regulations 2002.

Schedule 1          Amendments

(regulation 3)

[1]          Subparagraph 9 (a) (ii)

substitute

(ii)section 73.2 (aggravated offence of people smuggling (exploitation, or danger of death or serious harm etc));

[2]          After subparagraph 9 (a) (iii)

insert

(iiia)section 73.3A (supporting the offence of people smuggling);
