Act No. 105, 1988
An Act to amend the Probation and Parole Act 1983 to remove limits on the ages of Judges or retired Judges who may be appointed, and hold office, as members of the Parole Board. [Assented to 21 December 1988]
Probation and Parole (Parole Board) Amendment 1988
The Legislature of New South Wales enacts:
Short title
1. This Act may be cited as the Probation and Parole (Parole Board)
Amendment Act 1988.
Commencement
2. This Act commences on the date of assent.
Amendment of Probation and Parole Act 1983 No. 194
3. The Probation and Parole Act 1983 is amended as set out in
Schedule 1.
SCHEDULE 1—AMENDMENTS
(Sec. 3)
(1) Schedule 1, clause 2 (Composition of the Board)—
Omit clause 2 (3a),
(2) Schedule 1, clause 7 (Casual vacancies)—
Clause 7 (1) (0—
Omit "or attains the age of 72 years” .
