Private Parking Areas (Expiation Fees) Amendment Regulations 2024

under the Private Parking Areas Act 1986

Part 1Preliminary1Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Private Parking Areas (Expiation Fees) Amendment Regulations 2024.

2Commencement

These regulations come into operation on 1 July 2024.

Part 2Amendment of Private Parking Areas Regulations 2014
3Amendment of regulation 7 – Purpose other than parking

Regulation 7, expiation fee—delete "$60" and substitute:

4Amendment of regulation 8 – Damage to signs etc

Regulation 8, expiation fee—delete "$110" and substitute:

5Amendment of regulation 10 – Owner and driver guilty of offence

Regulation 10, expiation fee—delete paragraphs (a) to (d) (inclusive) of the expiation fee and substitute:

  1. (a)

    for an alleged contravention of regulation 4(1)(a)—$61;

  2. (b)

    for an alleged contravention of regulation 4(1)(b)—$74;

  3. (c)

    for an alleged contravention of regulation 5—$96;

  4. (d)

    for an alleged contravention of regulation 6—$94.

6Amendment of regulation 11 – Further offence each hour

Regulation 11, expiation fee—delete "$59" and substitute:
