HIS Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, and in pursuance of the Private Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres Act 1988, has been pleased to make the Regulation set forth hereunder.

The Private Hospitals Regulation 1990 is amended by omitting Form

10 and by inserting instead the following form:

EXPLANATORY NOTE

The object of this Regulation is to introduce a substitute form of monthly statistics to
be given to the Director-General of the Depamnent of Health by each private hospital.

The new form is more comprehensive and contains information which the Department of Health needs to meet its obligations under the Medicare Agreement to report admissions to private hospitals in New South Wales.

This Regulation is made under section 55 (Regulations) of the Private Hospitals and

Day Procedure Centres Act 1988 (and in particular section 55 (2) (b) (ii)).
