His Excellency the Governor, with the advice of the Executive Council, has made the following Regulation under the Private Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres Act 1988.

Explanatory note
The object of this Regulation is to amend the Private Hospitals Regulation 1996 and the Day Procedure Centres Regulation 1996 so as to increase the following fees:

(a)	application fees for licences for private hospitals and day procedure centres,
(b)	application fees for the transfer of licences for private hospitals and day procedure centres,
(c)	annual licence fees for private hospitals and day procedure centres.

This Regulation is made under the Private Hospitals and Day Procedure Centres Act 1988, and, in particular, under sections 8 (Application for licence), 17 (Annual licence fees), 18 (Transfer of licence to another licensee) and 55 (the general regulation-making power).

1      Name of Regulation

This Regulation is the Private Hospitals and Day Procedure
Centres Amendment (Fees) Regulation 1999.

2      Amendment of certain regulations

Each regulation specified in Schedule 1 is amended as set out in the

Schedule.
