1Name

This instrument is the Private Health Insurance (National Joint Replacement Register Levy) Amendment Rule 2019.

2Commencement

This instrument commences on 28 November 2019.

3Authority

This instrument is made under section 8 of the Private Health Insurance (National Joint Replacement Register Levy) Act 2009.

4Schedules

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Schedule 1Amendments

Private Health Insurance (National Joint Replacement Register Levy) Rule 2015

1. 1.

   Subsection 7(4), paragraph (d) of the definition of NJRR amount

   Omit “$2 376 000.” substitute “$2 376 000; or”.

2. 2.

   Subsection 7(4) (at the end of the definition of NJRR funding amount)

   Add:

   (e) for the levy day on 30 November of any financial year after 31 October 2018- $2 376 000.
