  1. Name of Rules

These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Data Provision) Amendment Rules 2013 (No. 1).

  1. Commencement

These Rules commence on 1 July 2013.

  1. Authority

These rules are made under item 9 of the table in section 333-20 of the Private Health Insurance Act 2007.

  1. Schedule

Each instrument that is specified in a Schedule to this instrument is amended or repealed as set out in the applicable items in the Schedule concerned, and any other item in a Schedule to this instrument has effect according to its terms.

Private Health Insurance (Data Provision) Rules 2012

1         Part 3, Definitions

Delete:

HCP1 Data from Insurers to the Department means the protocol set out in the document approved by the Assistant Secretary of the Private Health Insurance Branch of the Department of Health and Ageing on 13 May 2012 which consists of “Data Specifications (HCP1)” and “Explanatory Notes (HCP1)”.

Insert:

HCP1 Data from Insurers to the Department means the protocol set out in the document approved by the Assistant Secretary of the Financing and Analysis Branch of the Department of Health and Ageing on 9 May 2013 which consists of “Data Specifications (HCP1)” and “Explanatory Notes (HCP1)”.
