3. Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015 The Schedule amends the
Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2015 as amended.
Delete subparagraph 8A(3) and substitute:
(3) In this rule:
nursing-home type patient has thesamemeaningas in thePrivate Health Insurance (Benefit Requirements) Rules, made under section 333-20 of the Act, as in force from time to time.
patient contribution , for each day on which the patient is a nursing-home type patient at the hospital, means:
(a) In relation to a nursing-home type patient at a public hospital, the following amount for the State or Territory in which the hospital is located:
(i) Australian Capital Territory - $57.85;
(ii) New South Wales - $58.05;
(iii) Northern Territory - $57.85;
(iv) Queensland - $58.05;
(v) South Australia - $58.05;
(vi) Tasmania - $58.05;
(vii) Victoria - $58.05;
(viii) Western Australia - $58.05;
(b) In relation to a nursing-home type patient at a private hospital, $58.05
