Part 1          Preliminary

  1. Name of Rules

These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Amendment Rules 2012 (No. 7).

  1. Commencement

These Rules commence on:

(a)20 September 2012; or

(b)if registered after 20 September 2012, the day after registration.

  1. Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2010 (No. 2)

The Schedule amends the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2010 (No. 2) as amended.

Schedule – Amendments

[1]     Part 2, Paragraph 8A(3)(a)

Delete subparagraph 8A(3)(a)(ii) and substitute:

(ii)New South Wales - $52.05;

Delete subparagraphs 8A(3)(a)(iv) – 8A(3)(a)(vii), substitute:

(iv)       Queensland - $52.05;

(v)South Australia - $52.05;

(vi)Tasmania - $52.05;

(vii)Victoria - $52.05;

Delete paragraph 8A(3)(b), substitute:

(b) in relation to a nursing-home type patient at a private hospital, $52.05.
