Part 1          Preliminary

  1. Name of Rules

These Rules are the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Amendment Rules 2009 (No.2).

  1. Commencement

These Rules commence on:

(a)20 March 2009; or

(b)if registered after 20 March 2009, the day after registration.

  1. Amendment of the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2008 (No. 2)

The Schedule amends the Private Health Insurance (Complying Product) Rules 2008 (No. 2).

Schedule – Amendments

[1]     Part 2, Paragraph 8A(3)(c)

Delete subparagraph 8A(3)(c)(ii), substitute:

(ii)      New South Wales – $41.00;

Delete subparagraph 8A(3)(c)(iv) to 8A(3)(c)(vii), substitute:

(iv)Queensland – $41.35;

(v)South Australia – $41.35;

(vi)Tasmania – $41.35;

(vii)Victoria – $41.35;

Delete paragraph 8A(3)(d), substitute:

(d)          in relation to a nursing-home type patient at a private hospital, $41.35
