After section 14

Insert:

14AAPermitted disclosure of credit information by energy and water utilities

For the purposes of subparagraph 21D(2)(a)(i) of the Act, the following credit providers are prescribed:

  1. (a)

    an entity that engages in the retail sale of electricity or gas services in the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory;

  2. (b)

    an entity that engages in the retail sale of water, sewerage or drainage services in the Australian Capital Territory or the Northern Territory.

Section 14AA

Repeal the section.
