PRIVACY ACT 1988

TAX FILE NUMBER GUIDELINES -
AMENDMENT 2003 No 1

1. Under s.17(1) of the Privacy Act 1988, I hereby amend Tax File Number Guideline 9.8 of the Tax File Number Guidelines 1992, as follows:

(i)         Guideline 9.8(a)

Delete: "including the Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act 1988 and the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989;"

(ii)Guideline 9.8(c) Delete: "the; and";

Substitute: "Those sections of the Child Support (Registration and Collection) Act 1988 and the Child Support (Assessment) Act 1989 that deal with the provision, use and disclosure of tax file numbers;"

(iii)       Guideline 9.8(d)

Delete: "paragraphs (a) to (c)"; Substitute: "paragraphs (a) and (b)".

2. These amendments to the Guideline are issued on the date appearing hereunder, and form a disallowable instrument for the purposes of section 46A of the Acts Interpretation Act 1901.
