Prisons Amendment Regulations 2004

Made by the Governor in Executive Council.

1.           Citation

These regulations may be cited as the Prisons Amendment
Regulations 2004.

2.            The regulations amended

The amendments in these regulations are to the Prisons
Regulations 1982*.

3.             Regulation 38 amended

By Command of the Governor, M. C. WAUCHOPE, Clerk of the Executive Council.

After regulation 38(1) the following subregulations are inserted —

(1a) For the purposes of subregulation (1)(a) a record of a
prisoner's name may include the prisoner's name
registered under the Births, Deaths and Marriages
Registration Act 1998 or any alias of the prisoner.

(lb) A record of the prisoner's name kept under

subregulation (1)(a) may be changed at any time if the superintendent considers that such change is necessary.
