AN ACT to amend the Prisons Act, 1903.

[Assented to 13th September, 1906.]

and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this presentBE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by andwith the advice and consent of the Legislative Council

Parliament assembled, and b y the authority of the same, as follows:—

1.     This Act may be cited as the Prisons Amendment Act, 1906, Short title.

and shall be read as one with the Prisons Act, 1903, hereinafter

referred to as the principal Act.

2.      Section twenty-one of the principal Act is hereby amended Amendment of

by adding a subsection, as follows :—

3. Section fifty-nine of the principal Act is hereby amended by

3 Edw. VII., No.

s. 59.

inserting after the word "escapes," in the second line thereof, the

following words: " or attempts to escape."

Manner of showing 4. All copies of the principal Act hereafter printed by the

amendments. Government Printer shall be printed as amended by this Act. under

the supervision of the Clerk of the Parliaments. and a reference Jo

this Act made in the margin.
