B E it enacted by the King's Most Excellent Majesty, by. and with the advice and consent of the Legis- lative Assembly of Queensland in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows ;- 1. 'This Act may be cited as « The Prisons .A.ct Short title Amendment Act of 1945," and shall be read as one and . with *" The Prisons Act, 1890," herein referred to as <.onstruction the Principal Act. The Principal Act and this Act may be collectively Collective cited as "The Prisons Acts, 1890 to 1945." title. 2. The following section, numbered 70A, is inserted ~ ew 8. 70A after section seventy of the Principal Act, namely;- mserted. "[70A.] The provisions of sections sixty-nine and Sections seventy of this Act shall apply and extend with respect ~ : : ; : l; ~ to any State forest or part of a State forest which may prison upon for the time being be or form part of a prison pro- ~~ ~ :: t. claimed as such under and for the purposes of this Act, and with respect to such State forest or such part, so long as the provisions of the said sections sixty-nine and seventy apply and extend thereto t" The State Forests a,nd National Parks Acts, 1906 to 1941" (or any Act in amendment of or substitution for such Acts), and any regulations for the time being in force under such Acts or under any such amended or substituted Act shall be read, construed, and have operation and effect subject to such provisions." * 54 V.
