This regulation may be cited as the Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Queensland Cane Growers’ Organisation) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1995 . ˙ Regulation amended 2. This regulation amends the Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Queensland Cane Growers’ Organisation) Regulation 1987 . ˙ Insertion of new s 59 3. After section 58— insert— ˙ ‘ Qualifications for election of South Johnstone Central Sugar Mill Suppliers’ Committee 1 ‘ 59.(1) Five members of the South Johnstone Central Sugar Mill Suppliers’ Committee are elected by growers supplying cane to the South Johnstone Central Mill (the “Mill” ) who have land in the parish of Japoon, Johnstone, Hull or Mourilyan assigned to the Mill. ‘ (2) A candidate must have land in the parish of Japoon, Johnstone, Hull or Mourilyan assigned to the Mill to be eligible for election by the growers mentioned in subsection (1). ‘ (3) One member of the Committee is elected by growers supplying cane to the Mill who have land in the parish of Barron, East Barron, Malanda, Tinaroo or Woomunda assigned to the Mill. ‘ (4) A candidate must have land in the parish of Barron, East Barron, Malanda, Tinaroo or Woomunda assigned to the Mill to be eligible for election by the growers mentioned in subsection (3).’. 1 Under section 30(4) of the Act, the Minister has approved 6 as the number of elected members of the Committee. The elected representatives of the Mill on the Innisfail District Cane Grower’s Executive are, automatically, members of the Committee.
