2 Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Pork Producers) Amendment (No. 1) No. 12, 1994 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Pork Producers) Amendment Regulation (No. 1) 1994 . ˙ Amendment of order 2. The order in council made under section 30 of the Act published in the Gazette on 3 December 1977 at pages 1250–2 is amended as set out in this regulation. ˙ Amendment of s 30 3.(1) Section 30(5)(a)— omit, insert— ‘(5) There is a District Pork Producers’ Council in and for each of the following districts— (a) District No. 1—Southern District—consisting of the local authority areas of— Albert, Allora, Balonne, Beaudesert, Bendemere, Boonah, Booringa, Brisbane, Bulloo, Bungil, Caboolture, Cambooya, Chinchilla, Clifton, Crows Nest, Dalby, Esk, Gatton, Glengallan, Gold Coast, Goondiwindi, Inglewood, Ipswich, Jondaryan, Kilcoy, Laidley, Landsborough, Maroochy, Millmerran, Moreton, Murilla, Murweh, Paroo, Pine Rivers, Pittsworth, Quilpie, Redcliffe, Redlands, Roma, Rosalie, Rosenthal, Stanthorpe, Tara, Toowoomba, Waggamba, Warroo and Warwick; (b) District No. 2—Wide Bay/Burnett District—consisting of the local authority areas of— Biggenden, Bundaberg, Eidsvold, Gayndah, Gooburrum, Gympie, Hervey Bay, Isis, Kilkivan, Kingaroy, Kolan, Maryborough, Mundubbera, Murgon, Nanango, Noosa, Perry, Tiaro, Widgee, Wondai, Woocoo and Woongarra;

3 Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Pork Producers) Amendment (No. 1) No. 12, 1994 (c) District No. 3—Central District—consisting of the local authority areas of— Aramac, Banana, Barcaldine, Barcoo, Bauhinia, Belyando, Blackall, Boulia, Broadsound, Calliope, Diamantina, Duaringa, Emerald, Fitzroy, Gladstone, Ilfracombe, Isisford, Jericho, Livingstone, Longreach, Mackay, Mirani, Miriam Vale, Monto, Mount Morgan, Nebo, Peak Downs, Pioneer, Proserpine, Rockhampton, Sarina, Tambo, Taroom and Winton; (d) District No. 4—Northern District—consisting of the local authority areas of— Atherton, Ayr, Bowen, Burke, Cairns, Cardwell, Carpentaria, Charters Towers, Cloncurry, Cook and Torres, Croydon, Dalrymple, Douglas, Eacham, Etheridge, Flinders, Herberton, Hinchinbrook, Johnstone, Mareeba, McKinlay, Mount Isa, Mulgrave, Richmond, Thuringowa and Townsville. ’. (2) Section 30(5)(b)— omit, insert— ‘(5A) The Council for each district is elected by the producers in the district entitled to vote in the election of the Council. ‘(5B) The number of members of each Council is as follows— (a) District No. 1—Southern District Council—7 members; (b) District No. 2—Wide Bay/Burnett District Council—5 members; (c) District No. 3—Central District Council—4 members; (d) District No. 4—Northern District Council—3 members. ’. (3) Section 30(7)— omit, insert— ‘(7) There is a Queensland Pork Producers’ State Council. ‘(7AA) The Queensland Pork Producers’ State Council consists of members elected from members of District Pork Producers’ Councils as follows—

4 Primary Producers’ Organisation and Marketing (Pork Producers) Amendment (No. 1) No. 12, 1994 (a) District No. 1—Southern District Council—4 members; (b) District No. 2—Wide Bay/Burnett District Council—2 members; (c) District No. 3—Central District Council—1 member; (d) District No. 4—Northern District Council—1 member. ‘(7AB) If the Governor in Council confers power on the Queensland Pork Producers’ State Council to market the commodity, section 9 of the Act applies (so far as it applies to pigs). ’.
