The Principal Act IS hereby amended as Amendment follows :- of Principal Act. (a) In paragraph (b) of subsection one of section Section 4. four, the words "less than five members nor" are repealed; also the word" shall," where it first occurs, is repealed and the word "may" is inserted in lieu thereof. In paragraph (C) of the said subsection, all words from and including the words "of whom" to and including the words " such district council" are repealed and the words "£hall be elected as prescribed" are inserted in lieu thereof. In paragraph (e) of the said subsection, after the words "insane person" the words "or is a salaried officer of the Council or of any district council" are inserted. In subsection six of the said section, all words from and including the words "as follows" to and including * 13 Geo. V. No. 4, 8upra, page 10132; and 14 Oeo. V. No. 36, 8upra, page 10762.

Section 7. the words "prescribed manner" are repealed and the words "as may be prescribed "are inserted in lieu thereof. Amendment 2. The Principal Act is hereby amended as A of cPt. rincipal follows:- Section 3. (a) After subsection one of section three the following subsections are inserted:- " (la.) Without limiting the power hereinbefore conferred to extend the provisions of this Act either wholly or with modifications thereof or additions thereto to a commodity and to a Board and all persons, things, and matters concerned, any such Order in Council may provide that the commodity to which such Order in Council relates shall forthwith upon the making of such Order or on and from a date to be fixed by such Order, or upon the fulfilment of such conditions as are therein pa.ge * 110376 G 4. eo.
