2 Primary Producers’ Cooperative Associations (Exemption) No. 79, 1993 ˙ Short title 1. This regulation may be cited as the Primary Producers’ Cooperative Associations (Exemption) Regulation 1993 . ˙ Exemption 2.(1) In this section— “corporation” means the Six Mile Co-operative Harvesting Association Limited; and “purchaser or user member” means a shareholder member of the corporation who— (a) is a primary producer; and (b) in that member’s capacity as a primary producer— (i) purchases supplies or services from the corporation; or (ii) uses the services of the corporation. (2) The corporation is exempt from the operation of section 22(1) of the Act to the extent necessary to allow the corporation’s rules to provide for a purchaser or user member— (a) to hold voting power; and (b) to be entitled to one vote only on any business before a meeting of the corporation or at a poll or ballot conducted by the corporation; and (c) to be entitled to vote on any business before a meeting of the corporation or at a poll or ballot conducted by the corporation.
