1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 4).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence as follows:

  1. (a)

    on 1 September 2003 — regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

  2. (b)

    on 1 September 2006 — Schedule 2.

3Amendment of Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Regulations 1998

Schedules 1 and 2 amend the Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Regulations 1998.

Schedule 1Amendments commencing on 1 September 2003

[1]Regulation 228

omit

$1.25 per head.

insert

25 cents per head.

[2]Paragraphs 232 (2) (c) to (g)

substitute

  1. (c)

    the Australian Business Number (ABN), if any, of the processor and the proprietor of the abattoir; and

  2. (d)

    if the processor is a company and does not have an ABN, its Australian Company Number; and

  3. (e)

    if the proprietor of the abattoir is a company and does not have an ABN, its Australian Company Number; and

  4. (f)

    for each kind of ratite, the following details for the month:

    1. (i)

      the number slaughtered;

    2. (ii)

      the number of carcases that were condemned or rejected by an inspector as unfit for human consumption;

    3. (iii)

      the number slaughtered on which levy was payable; and

  5. (g)

    how much NRS excise levy was payable on all ratites slaughtered.

    how much NRS excise levy was payable on all ratites slaughtered.
