1Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 3).

2Commencement

These Regulations commence as follows:

1. (a)

   on 1 July 2003 — regulations 1 to 3 and Schedule 1;

2. (b)

   on 1 July 2006 — Schedule 2.

3Amendment of Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Regulations 1998

Schedules 1 and 2 amend the Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Regulations 1998.

192Rate of NRS excise levy on buffalo slaughter

For clause 2 of Schedule 11 to the NRS Excise Levy Act, the rate of NRS excise levy on the slaughter of buffaloes is $1.00 per head.

Note Regulation 192 will remain in force until 30 June 2006 (see Schedule 2 to the Primary Industries Levies and Charges (National Residue Survey Levies) Amendment Regulations 2003 (No. 3)). After that time, the operative rate of NRS excise levy on buffalo slaughter will be $5.00 per head under clause 2 of Schedule 11 to the NRS Excise Levy Act.
