Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Vegetable) Regulations (Amendment) (Cth)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the
Federal Executive Council and having taken into consideration relevant
recommendations made to the Minister by the Horticultural Research and
Development Corporation, make the following Regulations under the
Dated 19 February 1997.

1.1 Subregulations 5.1, 6.1, 6.2 and 6.3 are taken to have commenced on 1 March 1996.

2.1 The Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Vegetable) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.
3.1 Definition of “vegetable”:
4.1 After regulation 3, insert:
“
(a) asparagus; or
(b) garlic; or
(c) hard onions; or
(d) herbs (other than fresh culinary shallots and parsley); or
(e) melons; or
(f) potatoes (other than sweet potatoes); or
(g) seed sprouts; or
(h) tomatoes; or
(i) vegetables of a kind for which:
(i) a rate of levy for the purposes of regulation 9 of the Levy Act; and
(ii) a rate of charge for the purposes of regulation 9 of the Charge Act;
other than the rates of levy and charge fixed under these Regulations, are applicable.”.
