Citation 


  1. These Regulations may be cited as the Primary Industries Levies and
Charges Collection (National Residue Survey-Wheat) Regulations.*1*

Commencement 


  2. These Regulations commence on 1 January 1994.

Incorporation 


  3. These Regulations are incorporated and must be read as one with the Wheat
Levy Collection Regulations.

Interpretation 


  4. (1) In these Regulations, unless the contrary intention appears:

  "NRS Administration Act" means the National Residue Survey Administration
Act 1992;

  "NRS levy" means National Residue Survey Levy;

  "NRS Levy Act" means the National Residue Survey (Wheat) Levy Act 1992;

  "value", in relation to wheat, has the meaning it has in the Wheat Industry
Fund Levy Act 1989;

  "Wheat Levy Collection Regulations" means the Primary Industries Levies and
Charges Collection (Wheat) Regulations.

NRS Levy 


  5. The NRS Levy Act is prescribed for the purposes of the definition of
"levy" in section 4 of the Collection Act.

What is the rate of NRS levy on wheat? 


  6. For the purposes of paragraph 9 (2) (b) of the NRS Administration Act,
the rate of NRS levy payable on wheat is 0.015% of the value of the wheat.

When is NRS levy due for payment? 


  7. For the purposes of section 6 of the Collection Act, NRS levy imposed on
wheat is due for payment:

  (a) on the day on which a quarterly return under regulation 11 of the Wheat
Levy Collection Regulations is lodged for the wheat; or

  (b) if the quarterly return is not lodged within the period provided under
regulation 10 of the Wheat Levy Collection Regulations-on the last day of that
period.

Additional information in returns 


  8. In addition to complying with the Wheat Levy Collection Regulations, a
return lodged by a person under those Regulations must include particulars of
the total amount of NRS levy payable on the wheat to which the return
relates.
