Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (National Residue Survey—Cattle Transactions) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection Act 1991 and the National Residue Survey Administration Act 1992.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 July 1994.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (National Residue Survey—Cattle Transactions) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   New regulations 7, 8, 9 and 10

3.1   After regulation 6, insert:

What is the rate of NRS levy for cattle of which ownership is transferred?

“7.

For the purposes of paragraph 9 (2) (b) of the NRS Administration Act, the rate of NRS levy payable on a transaction by virtue of which the ownership of cattle is transferred is 26 cents per head.

What is the rate of NRS levy for cattle delivered to a processor?

“8.

For the purposes of paragraph 9 (2) (b) of the NRS Administration Act, the rate of NRS levy payable on the delivery of cattle to a processor is 26 cents per head.

What is the rate of NRS levy for cattle which is slaughtered?

“9.

For the purposes of paragraph 9 (2) (b) of the NRS Administration Act, the rate of NRS levy payable on the slaughter of cattle is 26 cents per head.

What is the rate of NRS levy for cattle which is exported?

“10.

For the purposes of paragraph 9 (2) (b) of the NRS Administration Act, the rate of NRS levy payable on the exportation of cattle is 26 cents per head.”.
