Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Deer and Deer Velvet) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The ADMINISTRATOR of the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and having considered the recommendation made to the Minister by the Deer Farmer’s Federation of Australia, make the following Regulations under the Deer Slaughter Levy Act 1992.

1.   Amendment

1.1   The Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Deer and Deer Velvet) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

[NOTE:

 These Regulations commence on gazettal: see Acts Interpretation Act 1901, s. 48.]

2.   New regulation 6A

2.1   After regulation 6, insert:

Rate of levy on slaughter of deer

“6A.

For the purposes of section 7 of the Deer Slaughter Levy Act, the prescribed amount per kilogram of weight of slaughtered deer is 15.5 cents.”.
