Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Apple and Pear) Regulations 2(Amendment)

I, The Governor-General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, and having taken into consideration the recommendations made to the Minister for Primary Industries and Energy by the Australian Horticultural Corporation, make the following Regulations under the Horticultural Levy Act 1987 and the Horticultural Export Charge Act 1987.

1.   Commencement

1.1   These Regulations commence on 1 April 1997.

2.   Amendment

2.1   The Primary Industries Levies and Charges Collection (Apple and Pear) Regulations are amended as set out in these Regulations.

3.   Regulation 4 (Interpretation)

3.1   Definition of “box”, subparagraph (a) (ii):

Omit “30 litre”, substitute “36 litre”.

4.   Schedule 1 (Rates of levy)

4.1   Item 1, column 3:

Omit “17 cents”, substitute “20 cents”.

4.2   Item 2, column 3:

Omit “19 cents”, substitute “22.5 cents”.

4.3   Item 3, column 3:

Omit “$1.70”, substitute “$2.00”.

4.4   Item 4, column 3:

Omit “$1.90”, substitute “$2.25”.

4.5   Item 5, column 3:

Omit “$3.40”, substitute “$4.00”.

4.6   Item 6, column3:

Omit “$3.80”, substitute “$4.50”.

5.   Schedule 2 (Rates of charge)

5.1   Item 1, column 3:

Omit “17 cents”, substitute “20 cents”.

5.2   Item 2, column 3:

Omit “19 cents”, substitute “22.5 cents”.
