Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 4)¹

I, QUENTIN BRYCE, Governor‑General of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, make the following Regulations under the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Act 1999.

Name of Regulations

These Regulations are the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Amendment Regulations 2009 (No. 4).

Commencement

These Regulations commence as follows:

(a)on the day after they are registered — regulations 1 to 3;

(b)on the first day of the first month after the month in which regulations 1 to 3 commence — Schedule 1.

Amendment of Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Regulations 1999

Schedule 1 amends the Primary Industries (Excise) Levies Regulations 1999.

substitute

(1)For paragraph 4 (a) of Schedule 16 to the Excise Levies Act, the amount is 10 cents per laying chicken.

Note The laying chickens levy for research activities is to be paid to the body declared as the industry services body under subsection 6 (1) of the Egg Industry Service Provision Act 2002.
