1. These regulations may be cited as the Prices Regulations, 1985.

2. The Prices Regulations, 1949, made on 3 March 1949, and published in the Government

Gazette on the same day at page 537, as varied, are revoked.

4. (1) No person shall, whether as principal or agent or whether by himself or through his agent, after having delivered to a retailer any of the declared goods to which this regulation applies:

(a)

take back or cause or permit any other person to take back such declared goods from the retailer; or

(b)

redeem such declared goods or make any payment to or otherwise compensate the retailer, whether directly or indirectly in respect of such declared goods,

unless the retailer has the right to reject the declared goods as not being in conformity with the

type or quality for which he contracted.

(2) The declared goods to which this regulation applies are bread and bread rolls.

(3) Any person who is in breach of this regulation shall be guilty of an offence and liable to

a penalty not exceeding $500.

5. (1) No retailer shall, whether by himself or through his agent, after having taken delivery

of declared goods to which this regulation applies:

(a)

redeliver such declared goods or cause or permit such declared goods to be redelivered to the person from whom he took delivery or to any other person for or on behalf of the person from whom he took delivery; or

(b)

make any charge or receive payment or other compensation in respect of such declared goods, whether directly or indirectly, from the person from whom he took delivery or from any other person for or on behalf of the person from whom he took delivery,

unless he has the right to reject the declared goods as not being in conformity with the type or

quality for which he contracted.

(2) The declared goods to which this regulation applies are bread and bread rolls.

(3) Any person who is in breach of this regulation shall be guilty of an offence and liable to

a penalty not exceeding $500.
