Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Further Amendment Regulations 2014

The Governor in Council makes the following Regulations:

1Objective

The objective of these Regulations is to amend the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 2008 to extend the period that certain large leghold traps may be set or used in respect of wild dogs.

2Authorising provision

These Regulations are made under section 42 of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Act 1986.

3Commencement

These Regulations come into operation on 1 November 2014.

4Prescribed features of a large leghold trap to be set or used for wild dogs

In regulation 30(3) of the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals Regulations 2008[1], for "2014" substitute "2017".
