POUNDS ORDINANCE

POUNDS REGULATIONS*

REGULATIONS 1966, No. 3 t

1. These Regulations shall come into operation on the fourteenth day commence-

of February, 1966. ment-

2. Regulations 4, 5, 6, 7 and 8 of the Pounds Regulations are repealed

and the following regulations inserted in their stead:—

" 4. The pound fees payable under the Ordinance shall be in accordance pound fees,

with the following scale:—

For each entry of an impounding .. . . $0.20
For each entry of release .. .. . . $0.10

For each advertisement that the pound-keeper or the Minister is

required by or under the Ordinance to publish .. . . The cost of

For each sale of cattle the property of one owner or, if sold in

separate lots, for the sale of each lot . . $1.00

" 5 . The driving charges payable under the Ordinance shall be in Driving charges,

"6.—(1.) Subject to the next succeeding sub-regulation, deterrent fees Deterrent fees,

  1. POUNDS ORDINANCE—

    Description of Cattle.

Sheep— $
For any number not exceeding twenty . . . . 1.00
For any number exceeding twenty but not exceeding fifty . . 2.00
For any number exceeding fifty but not exceeding one
hundred . . . . . . . . . . . . 4.00

For each hundred or portion of a hundred after the first

hundred . . . . . . 2.00

Pigs, goats—

For the first animal 3.00
For each subsequent animal . . 2.00

" (2.) Where an animal is impounded and another animal or other animals of the same kind belonging to the same owner have been impounded during the preceding three months, the deterrent fees payable are twice the fees specified in the scale in the last preceding sub-regulation.

Trespass rates. " 7. The trespass rates payable under this Ordinance shall be in accord-

ance with the following scale:—

Fees for " 8. The fees payable for the inspection of the books of a pound or for

inspection

of books. extracts from those books shall be in accordance with the following scale:—

For inspection by a member of the

Ten cents for each period of ten minutes or part of that period, with a minimum of Twenty cents.

For any period earlier than six months

preceding the date of inspection . . Twenty cents for each period of ten

minutes or part of that period.

For an extract or copy of any entry

in the books of a pound—

If relating to an impounding made

3. Regulation 10 of the Pounds Regulations is repealed and the

following regulation inserted in its stead:—

" 10. The fees payable under the Ordinance for the registration of FM« for

brands shall be in accordance with the following scale:— S^SSS!"
