I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL of the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Ordinance under the Seat of Government (Administration) Act 1910.

An Ordinance to amend the Pounds Ordinance 1928

Short title

1.  This Ordinance may be cited as the Pounds (Amendment) Ordinance 1984.1

2.  After section 7 of the Pounds Ordinance 19282 the following section is inserted in Part I:

Causes of action not affected

“7A.  Nothing in this Ordinance affects any right that a person may have to recover damages or compensation apart from this Ordinance.”.
