Legislative history

1—Short title

These regulations may be cited as the Poultry Meat Industry Regulations 1996.

2—Commencement

These regulations will come into operation on 1 September 1996.

3—Revocation

All regulations previously made under the Poultry Meat Industry Act 1969 are revoked.

4—Interpretation

In these regulations—

Act means the Poultry Meat Industry Act 1969.

5—Form of application for approval

For the purposes of section 11I(2) of the Act, an application for approval of a farm or proposed farm or for approval to operate a farm or proposed farm must—

(a)contain the particulars required by Form 1 of the Schedule; and

(b)be accompanied by the fee of $10.

6—Form of certificate of approval

For the purposes of section 11I(6) of the Act, a certificate of approval must be in the following form:

(a)if approval is granted to the operator or proposed operator of a farm or proposed farm—Form 2 of the Schedule;

(b)if approval is granted to the operator of plant to operate a farm or proposed farm—Form 3 of the Schedule.

Revocation of regulations

These regulations became obsolete on the repeal of the Poultry Meat Industry Act 1969 on 2.9.2004.
