REGULATIONS UNDER THE POULTRY INDUSTRY LEVY ACT 1965-1966.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Poultry Industry Levy Act 1965-1966.

Amendments of the Poultry Industry Levy Regulations

The Poultry Industry Levy Regulations are amended by adding at the end thereof the following regulations and Schedule:—

Method of electing.

“5.—(1.) The owner of hens may make an election under sub-section (5.) of section 8 of the Poultry Industry Levy Act 1965-1966 by furnishing an instrument in writing, in accordance with the form in the Schedule to these Regulations—

(a) where the hens are kept in the Australian Capital Territory—to the Senior Finance Officer of the Department of Primary Industry; or

(b)where the hens are kept in a State—to the Secretary of the State Egg Board in that State.

“(2.) In the last preceding sub-regulation, ‘State Egg Board’ has the same meaning as in the Poultry Industry Levy Collection Act 1965-1966.

Poultry Industry Levy Act 1965-1966

ELECTION BY OWNER OF BROILER BREEDER HENS IN RESPECT OF PRESCRIBED PERIOD

I, (full name) of (address), being an owner of broiler breeder hens, hereby elect that paragraph (a)*/(b) of sub-section (4.) of section 8 of the Poultry Industry Levy Act 1965-1966 apply to me in respect of , 19 .

  Here insert the date, being a day on which levy is imposed, as from which the Paragraph is to apply to the person making the election.
