AN ACT to amend the Potato Growing Industry

Trust Fund Act, 1947-1951.

[Assented to 28th September, 1954.]

BE it enacted, by the Queen's Most Excellent Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and the Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows:-

1. (1) This Act may be cited as the Potato Ella.

Growing Industry Trust Fund Act Amendment Act,

1954.

(2) In this Act the Potato Growing Industry Trust

Fund Act, 1947-1951,

Act No. 69 of 1947 as amended by Act No. 6 of

1951,

is referred to as the principal Act.

(3) The principal Act as amended by this Act may be cited as the Potato Growing Industry Trust Fund Act, 1947-1954.

Section four of the principal Act is amended

by substituting for the interpretation "commercial

producer" the following interpretation:

"commercial producer" means a grower by whom or on whose behalf at least half an acre or any areas of land exceeding in the aggregate half an acre have been planted in the last preceding period of twelve months com- mencing from the first day of April in each year and who is qualified to vote at the election of a member of the Legislative Assembly.

Paragraph (b) of subsection (4) of section six

of the principal Act is amended by deleting subpara-

graph (ii).

4. Paragraph (b) of subsection (4) of section twelve of the principal Act is amended by substitut- ing for the words "elective member remaining in office" in lines three and four the words "executive of the body known as the Potato Growers' Associa- tion of Western Australia."
