AN ACT to amend the Potato Growing Industry

Trust Fund Act, 1947.

[Assented to 12th October, 1951.]

RE it enacted by the King's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent

of the Legislative Council and the Legislative

Assembly of Western Australia, in this present

Parliament assembled, and by the authority of

the same, as follows:—

1.   This Act may be cited as the Potato Growing Short title.

Industry Trust Fund Act Amendment Act, 1951, and

shall be read as one with the Potato Growing Indus- try Trust Fund Act, 1947 (Act No. 69 of 1947), referred to in this Act as the principal Act.

2.   The principal Act, as amended by this Act, iTgiatitet

may be cited as the Potato Growing Industry Trust by this

Fund Act, 1947-1951.

amended. 3. Subsection (2) of section eleven of the prin-

cipal Act is amended by

(a) adding after the word, "shall" in line two of paragraph (a), the words, "subject to the provisions of paragraph (e) of this subsec- tion";

(b) adding the following paragraph:

(e) The elective member,

appointed in the year, one thousand

nine hundred and forty-nine,

shall,

by virtue of the provisions of this paragraph and notwithstanding those of the preceding paragraphs of this subsection,

remain in office until

the expiration in the year, one thousand nine hundred and fifty- two, of the term of office of the other elective member, when

both offices of elective member shall become vacant and thereafter both of those offices shall be filled

by the appointment of persons elected pursuant to the provisions of subsection (4) of section six of this Act for the purpose,

for a term of three years expiring in the case of each of the offices on the same day.

Paragraph (i) of the proviso to subsection (3) of section twenty-one of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "one penny" in lines one and two, the words, "two pence".

Subsection (3) of section twenty-three of the principal Act is amended by substituting for the words, "thirty-first day of July," in line two, the words, "thirtieth day of September".
