Act No. 36, 1968.
An Act to make provision in respect of the variation and application of license fees payable by potato growers; for this purpose to amend the Potato Growers Licensing Act, 1940-1965; to validate certain matters; and for purposes connected therewith. [Assented to, 22nd October, 1968.]

D E it enacted by the Queen’s Most Excellent Majesty, by No. 36, 1968
and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council and Legislative Assembly of New South Wales in Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows: —
1. (1) This Act may be cited as the “Potato Growers short title,
| Licensing (Amendment) Act, 1968”. | ^ndcom- |

| (2) The Potato Growers Licensing Act, 1940-1965, as amended by this Act, may be cited as the Potato Growers Licensing Act, 1940-1968. | |
| (3) This Act shall commence upon a day to be appointed by the Governor and notified by proclamation published in the Gazette. |
2. The Potato Growers Licensing Act, 1940-1965, is Amendment

(a) (i) by omitting from subsection two of section Sec. 3.
three the words “a fee of two dollars” and by (Application
inserting in lieu thereof the words “the pj-g-
scribed fee”;
(ii) by omitting from the same subsection the words “Under Secretary” and by inserting in lieu thereof the words “Director-General of Agriculture”;
| (b) | by inserting at the end of section four the following Sec. 4. | |

(5) To meet the cost of administration of this fees.)
Act there shall be paid out of the special account to the credit of the Consolidated Revenue Fund in the year commencing on the first day of July, next following the commencement of this Act, and in each succeeding year commencing on the first day of July, an amount equal to ten per centum of the total sum paid to the credit of the special account during the preceding period of twelve months.

Any payment by the Treasurer, before the commence ment of this Act, of moneys at the credit of the special account referred to in section four of the Potato Growers Licensing Act, 1940-1965, for the purpose of meeting the cost of administration of that Act shall be deemed to be and always to have been validly paid.
