PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1910.
I,
THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of
urgency, the undermentioned amended Regulation under the
General Postal Regulations.
should come into immediate operation, and make the amended Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a Provisional Regulation.

General Postal Regulations.
Regulation 2 under this head (Statutory Rules 1911, No. 171) is amended by omitting the words “shall be retained for four months” after the word “ships,” and inserting in their stead the following words:—
“excepting those addressed to passengers, shall be retained for four months; letters and packets addressed to passengers on board ships shall, if posted in places beyond the Commonwealth, be retained for two months, and if posted within the Commonwealth, be retained for one month.”
