STATUTORY RULES.
PROVISIONAL REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901.
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby certify that, on account of
urgency, the undermentioned amended regulations under the
Postal Regulations.
Packets—1. Within the Commonwealth and to Papua, New Zealand, and Fiji. Articles not allowed to be sent by Packet Post:
should come into immediate operation, and make the amended Regulations to come into operation forthwith as Provisional Regulations.

“Notices or information relating to lotteries, schemes of chance, unlawful games, fraudulent, obscene, indecent, or immoral businesses or undertakings, and other matters coming within the provisions of Section 57 of the
Post and Telegraph Act 1901.”

The Regulations under this head (
“3A. The transmission by parcels post
of notices or information relating to lotteries, schemes of chance, unlawful
games, fraudulent, obscene, indecent, or immoral businesses or undertakings,
and other matters coming within the provisions of Section 57 of the
Printed and Published for the Government of the Commonwealth of Australia by J. Kemp, Government Printer for the State of Victoria.
