PROVISIONAL REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1910.
I, THE
GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the
advice of the Federal Executive Council hereby certify that, on account of
urgency, the undermentioned amended Regulation under the
Postal Regulations.
should come into immediate operation, and make the amended Regulation to come into operation forthwith as a provisional Regulation.

Postal Regulations.
The
regulations under this head (
“1A. The Deputy Postmaster-General of any State may, when revising the register as provided by Section 29 of the
Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1910, call upon the proprietor, printer, or publisher of any newspaper appearing therein to furnish evidence by statutory declaration as to the total percentage of copies issued which are sold tobonâ fide subscribers who have ordered the paper, or which are handed or posted to persons forbonâ fide sale, and any other particulars which are, in his opinion, necessary to enable him to determine whether the newspaper should be removed from the register or not.
