REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1912.

(Issued Provisionally as Statutory Rules 1913, No. 219.)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, herby make the undermentioned amended Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1912, namely:—

Postal Regulations,

General Postal RegulationsPrivate Boxes,

Telephone Regulations,

Part I.Telephone Exchanges,

to come into operation on the 8th day of November, 1913.

Postal Regulations—General Postal Regulations.

Private Boxes.

Regulation 1 under this head (Statutory Rules 1908, No. 107) is amended byomitting from sub-regulation (2) the words “the fee for a small private box shall be only 10s. per annum,” and inserting in their stead the following words:—

“the fees shall be—

For a large box, £1 10s. per annum.

For a medium-sized box, £1 per annum.

For a small box, 10s. per annum.”

Telephone Regulations.

Part I.—Telephone Exchanges.

Regulation 28 under this head (Statutory Rules 1912, No. 65) is amended by inserting immediately before the item “Jack, or jack and plug,” the following item:—

“If the subscriber is supplied with a table telephone affixed to an adjustable bracket the rental shall be that for an ordinary table telephone increased by..................  0 6 0”
