REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1910.

(Issued provisionally as Statutory Rules 1911, No. 106.)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the under mentioned amended Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-10, namely

Parcels Post.

to come into operation on the 13th day of April, 1912.

Redirection.

The Regulation under this head (Statutory Rules 1911, No. 24) is amended by inserting at the end of sub-paragraph (a) the following words:—

In cases where it is not practicable for a guarantee to be given, the parcel may be redirected to another address within the Commonwealth, provided the contents thereof would, in the opinion of the officer in charge, if sold by public auction, return an amount sufficient to defray the fees and charges due.
