REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1910.

(Issued provisionally as Statutory Rules 1913, No. 118.)

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the under-mentioned amended Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1910, namely:—

General Postal Regulations.

Undelivered Mail Matter,

to come into operation on the twenty-sixth day of July, 1913.

General Postal Regulations.

Undelivered Mail Matter.

Regulation 2 under this head (Statutory Rules 1911, No. 171) is amended, by omitting the words “shall be retained for four months” after the word “ships,” and inserting in their stead the following words:—

“excepting those addressed to passengers, shall be retained for four months; letters and packets addressed to passengers on board ships shall, if posted in places beyond the Commonwealth, be retained for two months, and if posted within the Commonwealth, be retained for one month.”
