REGULATIONS UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1946.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the following Regulations under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1946.

Amendments of the Postal Regulations. 

Commencement.

1. These Regulations shall be deemed to have come into operation on the first day of July, 1947.

Fees.

2. Regulation 131 of the Postal Regulations, is amended by omitting sub-regulation (1.) and inserting in its stead the following sub-regulation:—

“(1.) The fees for the use of private boxes shall be as follows:—

(a)At the General Post Office in a State capital, the Post Office, Elizabeth Street, Melbourne, and at such other post office or place in the city area of a State capital as the Postmaster-General directs to be used as an extension of the private box installation at the General Post Office:—

Per annum.

For a small box....................................................................................................	1	0	0

(b)At suburban and country post offices and at post offices and places in the city area of a State capital other than those specified in paragraph (a) of this sub-regulation :—
