1937. No. 2.

REGULATION UNDER THE POST AND TELEGRAPH ACT 1901-1934.*

I, THE GOVERNOR-GENERAL in and over the Commonwealth of Australia, acting with the advice of the Federal Executive Council, hereby make the undermentioned Regulation under the Post and Telegraph Act 1901-1934.

Amendment of the Postal Regulations. 

Regulation 53 of the Postal Regulations is omitted and the following regulation inserted in its stead:—

Boxes containing bees.

53. (1) Upon payment of the prescribed fee (in addition to postage) the sender may have boxes containing bees for delivery within the Commonwealth placed in separate mail bags containing no postal articles other than bees.

(2) The fee payable for the service referred to in the last preceding sub-regulation shall be Sixpence in respect of each consignment posted at the one time for transmission to the same place of delivery.

(3) The boxes intended for transmission in separate bags shall be marked by the sender “Separate Bag”.
