These
Regulations may be cited as the Postal and Telecommunications Commissions
(Transitional Provisions) Regulations.
2Definitions In these
Regulations:
Arbitrator has the same meaning as in section
36 of the Act.
the Act means the Postal and
Telecommunications Commissions (Transitional Provisions) Act 1975.
3 Arbitration
claims and applications
For the purposes of paragraph (c) of the definition
of claim in subsection 36 (1) of the Act, the following claim
made under the Public Service Arbitration Act 1920-1973, and each of the
following applications made under that Act to vary a determination of the
Arbitrator, is declared to be a claim or an application, as the case may be, to
which section 36 of the Act applies:

4Relevant commission in relation to claim
- (1)
For the purposes of section 36 of the Act, it
is declared that:
- (a)
the Australian Telecommunications Commission
is a relevant Commission in relation to each of the claims numbered 1, 2, 3, 4,
9 and 13 in the first column of the table in regulation 3;
- (b)
the Australian Postal Commission is a
relevant Commission in relation to each of the claims numbered 5, 7, 8 and 10
in the first column of that table; and
- (c)
each of those Commissions is a relevant
Commission in relation to each of the claims numbered 6, 11, 12 and 14 in the
first column of that table.
- (2)
In this regulation, claim has
the same meaning as in section 36 of the Act.
