AN ACT to amend " The Postage Stamp

Act, 1889."

[ Assented to, 26th February, 1891. ]

HEREAS it is expedient to enlarge the provisions of the

second section of " The Postage Stamp Act, 1889 :"

Be it therefore enacted by the Queen's Most Excellent

Majesty, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative

Preamble.

Council and Legislative Assembly of Western Australia, in this present Parliament assembled, and by the authority of the same, as follows (that is to say):-

1. THE last five lines of the second section of " The Postage

Amendment of 53rd

Stamp Act, 1889," are hereby repealed, and the following words

shall be inserted in the said section in lieu of the said five lines,

namely :-

" For the purposes of this section fictitious stamp ' means

any facsimile or imitation or representation, whether on paper or

otherwise, of any stamp for denoting any rate of postage of the United Kingdom or of this Colony, or of any of Her Majesty's colonies, or of any foreign country."

2. THAT this Act may be cited for all purposes as " The

Short title.

Postage Stamp Act, 1889, Amendment Act, 1891."
