An Ordinance to abolish the franking of Let-
ters and Packets.
WHEREAS it is expedient that the prepayment of Letters andPackets sent by Post should henceforth be subject to no
exception ;—Be it therefore enacted, by His Excellency the 'Go- vernor of Western Australia and its Dependencies, by and with the advice and consent of the Legislative Council thereof

I. THAT from and after the passing of this Ordinance, an Or-
dinance passed in the fifteenth year of the reign of Her present Ma-
| jesty, No. 5; also Clause third of an Ordinance passed in the | year of the reign of Her said Majesty, No. 6, be and the same here- | same |
| by respectively are repealed. |
THAT from and after the passing of this Ordinance, all let- ters and packets sent by post in this colony from one part of it to another, not being received from beyond seas, by or to whomsoever sent, shall be prepaid by stamps, without any exception, any Pro- clamation or notice under the authority of the said repealed Ordi- nance to the contrary notwithstandi g.
